Citizens E-Mail Alert Network Announcement

 The Police Department recently introduced a new program and it appears to be catching on.  It is the Police - Citizens E-mail Alert Network.  Since the Police Department has been successfully using a Fax Message Network setup for the immediate dissemination of specific information related to robberies at financial institutions and convenience stores and a program to address fraudulent prescriptions at pharmacies, the Police Department felt it could utilize E-mails to set up a similar program to function in a similar fashion and alert residents.   

The Police department has begun to develop an E-mail Address list that will be essentially segmented by neighborhoods.  In that way, if the Police Department has information that they wish to immediately disseminate to the residents they will be able to do so via e-mail and with fairly pin-point accuracy.     

The first step in the Police - Citizens E-mail Alert Network program is to introduce it, announce it and seek participants who wish to be so alerted.  Therefore, if you are a resident of Northampton Township or if you have a business or work in Northampton Township and wish to participate in the Police - Citizens E-mail Alert Network please: E-mail the Northampton Township Police Department at police@northamptontownship.com  and title the e-mail "Police - Citizens E-mail Alert Network"; and In the narrative of the e-mail list your FULL NAME, AGE, TELEPHONE NUMBER and COMPLETE ADDRESS FOR YOUR RESIDENCE; and If you wish to participate because you work or have a business in Northampton Township please list the FULL NAME AND ADDRESS of your PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT or YOUR BUSINESS in NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP.    

IF AT ANYTIME YOU NO LONGER WISH TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PROGRAM, SIMPLY E-MAIL THE POLICE DEPARTMENT THAT FACT AND YOU WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE PROGRAM.
