Message to Republicans

To the Republican Faithful:

Hope you are ready for our primary election day on April 22nd.   Many voters are of the opinion that we, the Republicans in Bucks County, have nothing for which to come out and vote.....NOTHING could be farther from the truth.  Our candidates for party offices (delegate, alternate delegate and State Committeemen) are all being challenged by a group of individuals, some of whom just became Republicans in January of 2008.   Their interest in becoming delegates and alternates was so that they could support Ron Paul for President.

After getting some questions about our ticket and who is running, we felt it very important that we get some info to you and our committeepeople and we wanted to be sure everyone was aware of what is going on with our candidates for delegate and alternate delegate to the national convention as well as the State Committee.

After the countywide screening meetings, the committeepeople endorsed 3 candidates for delegate and 3 for alternate delegate.  The people running for these positions are usually folks who have worked hard for the party and would like the honor of representing the Republican voters of Bucks County.

There are 7 candidates for 3 delegate spots and one of our delegate candidates has a bad ballot position.  Fortunately, 2 of our 3 endorsed candidates (Pat Poprik and State Sen. Chuck McIlhinney) got 1st and 2nd ballot spots respectively, but, Ed Gudknecht got the last or 7th spot.  As to alternates, we were more fortunate with the ballot spots as Rep. George Kenney got 1st, George Dranginis got 2nd, and Skip Goodnoe got 3rd with one of the Ron Paul folks getting 4th.  So, we really need you, our front line of defense and our faithful voters, to be certain that every Republican voter gets a sample ballot to take with them into the polls because otherwise they would not know who the delegates/alternates are that the party is supporting.

Also, for the State Committee election for the men, another man, who is not involved with the party, has thrown his hat in the ring and has gotten a very good ballot position. State Committee is a very important office to our County because they represent the Bucks GOP voters' viewpoints in Harrisburg for the next 2 years.   So, again the sample ballot is critical to the success of our State committeemen as well. We must be sure that we give every Republican voter a sample ballot so that they will KNOW who the endorsed candidates are.

We would appreciate it if you could share this with your friends and constituents as we would like every solid Republican to see this.

As always, many thanks for ALL that you do all year long to help our party and our candidates.  If you have any questions send us an email by clicking here and we’ll get back to you.
