NORTHAMPTON GOP PANCAKE BREAKFAST WITH THE VOTERS & CANDIDATES

The last pancake breakfast was held Saturday October 19, 2002.  The next one will be held October 18, 2003.  Click here for details.

The prior breakfast was held on Saturday, October 13, 2001 when the Northampton GOP fed the party faithful voters at the semi-annual old fashioned pancake breakfast from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Hundreds attended to eat and chat with Northampton and County GOP candidates. The GOP also sold "God Bless America" sweatshirts at $15 each with the profits to be donated to the American Red Cross.

On hand to greet people were Northampton GOP incumbent Supervisor candidates Jim Kinney and Pete Palestina, Auditors Larry Weinstein and Paul Heise, Tax Collector Barbara Bucknam, School Board candidates Jack Serafin and Bernadette Heenan. County candidates on hand were incumbent District Attorney Diane Gibbons, Sheriff Larry Michaels, Prothonotary Pat Bachtle, Recorder of Deeds Ed Gudknecht, Controller Ray McHugh and Judge candidate Bob Mellon.

"Just about everyone of the people I chatted with had nice things to say about the township" said Pete Palestina, and many voiced their opinion about some of the things that are going on in Northampton such as the future of the Spread Eagle Inn, intersection improvements, the new Recreation Center, the proposed Community Center, NAWC Park, the Commons and the revitalization of the center of Richboro". "Many of the people who came to shake our hands had good things to say and wished us continued success" said Jim Kinney. "It was really nice to hear that we continue to have a lot of support among our constituents".

Northampton GOP Chairman Gretel Bleich said "it appears that most people have confidence in the way our township is being run and the candidates that we endorse and help get elected to office, and that includes the County ticket. It's certainly refreshing to hear good things on a good day, and this day was a good one for us".
