All of us are described in different ways. To name a few, I am a father, homeowner and financial professional. Through those experiences I developed a personal perspective that makes me an excellent candidate for school board director.

As a father, I have three children. My oldest daughter, Michelle, is an eighth grade student at Richboro Middle School. My son, Jimmy, and youngest daughter, Katie, attend Maureen M. Welch Elementary School and are in the sixth and fifth grades respectively. As a parent of school age children I have personal insights into the student’s educational experiences. I have an appreciation for the educational and professional services that are bestowed on my children. I also have a vested interest in maintaining the stellar reputation of our school district.

With the exception of a brief 18 month job transfer to Connecticut, I have been a homeowner/taxpayer of the Council Rock School District for almost 25 years. I recognize that the school tax represents the largest single item of my local real estate taxes. As a school director, I will serve the community by diligently managing the school budget. Proper expense management will insure that the taxpayers of the district are appropriately served.

I am employed by Nationwide Financial as a Regional Vice President. In that capacity, I am responsible for the sales and marketing of insurance and investment products through a network of registered representatives in 13 states. I also manage the region’s budget, administrative staff and compliance regulations of the National Association of Securities Dealers. My professional designations and registrations include the following: Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Financial Consultant and Registered Principal with the N.A.S.D. As a financial planner I evaluate, implement and manage both short and long term objectives. These skill sets compliment the responsibilities of a school board director. I recognize that decisions that are made today will have a profound impact on our school district, taxpayers and students for many years into the future.

Based on my credentials, I believe that I can serve the Council Rock School District with distinction. I, therefore, respectfully request your support for my candidacy.

Sincerely,

Robert Donnelly
