Township Offices on the ballot for 2007 we unfortunately lost both Supervisors seats held by 24 year incumbents Pete Palestina and Jim Kinney. Pete and Jim contributed an awful lot to the Township during their tenure and we wish them well. Despite the accomplishments (shown below), voters ignored them choosing instead to believe the lies and bending of truths by all 4 of their opponents.
We believe that we have helped make Northampton a great place to live and raise a family *If you participate in our many recreational programs and summer camps *If you participate in our vibrant Senior Citizens Center *If you ever visited and enjoyed our Northampton Municipal Park, with its ballfields, amphitheatre, playground, hockey rink, basketball courts and trails *If you ever used our state of the art new library *If your children enjoy our many ballfields and enrolled in any of the Sports Group Programs that are offered by Northampton’s excellent sports organizations *If you like the fact that we saved the Spread Eagle Inn and old Richboro Elementary School at no cost to taxpayers *If you appreciate the preservation of 400 plus acres of open space *If you watch Supervisors and Planning Commission meetings on cable TV *If you enjoy reading our quarterly newsletter produced and distributed at no cost to taxpayers *If you appreciate how we honor Northampton soldiers that serve in Iraq with our military flag program we established 4 years ago *If you appreciate our promptness in responding to your emails, phone calls and letters *If you signed up for our Police Citizens Email Alert Network to help fight crime, make arrests and keep you informed *If you ever visited and used the Township website for information or enrollment in programs *If you appreciate recognizing our Distinguished Citizens each Month *If your family enjoys the annual Northampton Days Celebration *If you appreciate that we have instituted restrictions so that sexual offenders cannot be a threat to our children *If you knew that in 2005 we were ranked in the top 10 nationally for the Best Towns For Families With Children Then ask yourself why you moved here and why you stay? If you appreciate Supervisors who choose not to run for higher office, If you like honest, hard working, dedicated Supervisors that helped make all this happen the past 24 years while keeping your township taxes low compared to other municipalities. Then please vote for Jim Kinney and Pete Palestina on November 6th For a better Northampton….Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow |
